Going Mobile

Mobile media is growing and evolving rapidly. From phones to tablets, iPhone to Android, people use mobile devices every day to surf the web, update their status, find stores and restaurants, buy and more.  At PRSA Delaware’s January 26 lunch meeting, Jim Auer and James Dixon of Wilmington-based Trellist will talk about the fundamentals and challenges of mobile media.

James Dixon, Senior Associate, Mobile Strategy & Technology Services

James leads Trellist’s Mobile Solutions practice area, responsible for the design, development, strategy and execution of all mobile initiatives.  During his time at Trellist, James has been the technology lead for enterprise-level projects with clients such as ING Direct, Bill Me Later, Southco Marine and Everything but Water. Most recently, he has worked with ING Direct on implementing Mobile Remote Deposit Capture (MRDC) into their iPhone and Android applications. Within the mobile arena, James has been a pioneer in promoting the use of cross-platform, hybrid applications, contributing to a number of open-source projects focused on the approach. With a strong technology background and a knack for business, he is uniquely qualified to tackle the challenges of a new and emerging media such as mobile.  James graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Computer and Information Sciences.

James Auer, Partner, Marketing & Media Services

Jim leads Trellist’s Marketing & Media Services practice, responsible for the strategy and implementation of all marketing campaigns, including research, marketing strategy, and interactive and traditional communications programs.  Jim brings more than 30 years of experience in marketing and communications to Trellist, and has been the marketing lead on multiple client engagement, for both enterprise and small- and medium-business clients.  Prior to Trellist, Jim managed leading B2C and B2B accounts for major advertising agencies in New York and Boston.  Jim has also served in brand management in the consumer products industry, and has been involved the interactive marketing industry for the past 15 years.
